Double Glazing

Double Glazing is known within the industry as Insulating Glass Units (IGU’s). Two or more panels of glass are bonded to a perimeter spacer, either metal or thermoplastic spacer (TPS), with either air or argon gas filling used in the space between the glass panels. Their primary benefit is insulation and solar control.

Most types of glass can be incorporated into an IGU such as, but not limited to, laminated, toughened, toned and coated.

IGU’s typically achieve high performance values in line with WERS requirements.
